Structural Refurbishment Haxey, North Lincolnshire

Client: National House Building Council

Type of Contract: Structural Refurbishment

Project Duration: 14 Weeks

Value: £108,000

Organisational Role: Main Contractor

This challenging refurbishment project required the careful removal and reconstruction of the external skin of the facing brick cavity wall.

The project included renewing the insulation and tying the new brick skin to the internal blockwork by means of Helifix ties installed to the approved specification and methodology.

The reinstatement required meticulous and delicate finishes to the existing soffit, gutters, eaves, featured brickwork and stone copings to the gable end.

The challenges included restricted access and we were always conscious that we were working on the customer’s home.

The highest standards of welfare, health and safety were applied to the delivery of the contract, carefully taking into account the needs of the neighbours.
