What was our client looking for?

Pastures Development Company required a unique and modern office and meeting space within the existing Freeman Street Market with a desire to harness the atmosphere found at the current bustling market.

How did we help?

Using modern techniques we constructed within the existing market structure a 2 storey floorspace which hosts reception facilities, office space, conference suites and 2 workshops.  The mezzanine floor allows for 13 self-contained office space, a seminar room and break out area, all fitted with PIR systems, super-fast broadband technology with access to personal facilities.  In addition to the build a 69 space car park was upgraded to provide adequate parking for the facility.

The results

The completed Hub will increase footfall to the market, providing additional customers to current market traders and existing nearby businesses with the scope for new market traders.  The Hub delivers office space for the Creative Sector with the right environment overlooking the vibrant market coupled with the modern feel of glazed corridors and walls. The Hub also benefits from Low-carbon footprint initiatives, including rainwater harvesting, an air to water heat exchanger and solar panels, which provide 30% of the electricity the market requires.
