New Kitchen & Dining Room Facilities Bassetlaw Hospital, Worksop

Client: Doncaster & Bassetlaw NHS

Type of Contract: Traditional

Project Duration:  February 2006 to May 2008

Value: £3,300,000

Status: Completed

The contract consisted of 5 phases working adjacent to and within the main entrance of the hospital. The new build required all existing mains services to be diverted prior to main construction works. Close liaison with our clients and specialised M&E contractors was required to co-ordinate ‘switch over’ times as agreed with the hospital to minimise disruption.

The envelope of the new building linked into the existing hospital in several areas including a 60m long link corridor at 2nd floor level.

Again with this element of work, planning cranage and road closure times was paramount in installing the link within a 2 week window. All other connections from new build to existing were carried out after close liaison with our client.
