The Maintenance Division of the Gelder Group were entrusted with the refurbishment of three floors at the Midlands Regional offices at Solihull in the West Midlands on behalf of the Environment Agency.
The project incorporated removal and relocation of walls and new door apertures through load bearing walls.
New partitioning forming a rearranged office layout was completed whilst keeping the services operational and taking into account all Health and Safety issues.
The quality of the finishings to provide new carpet tiles and redecorations was an important factor to create a welcoming working environment.
One other crucial element of the project was the careful coordination of the rearrangement of the power and I.T. services as this office provides regional Flood Forecasting and Environment Incident Data for the area.
The 4 phase finished product including all furnishings was provided within an 18 week period to suit the Environment Agency requirements.
