The Gelder Group were entrusted with the refurbishment to two floors of the Environment Agency at Crosskill House administration offices in Beverley, Yorkshire.
The project included comprehensive electrical modification, new lighting, light sensors, movement sensors and power adaptations.
The coordination of the activities incorporated careful integration of all the data requirements for the whole property.
Working in a live environment created the need for thorough planning and liaison to ensure that minimum disruption was caused to the existing tenants and occupiers.
The contract provided:
- 100 desk positions in refurbished offices
- Tea points
- Dining area
- Laboratory facilities
- Secure access to the car park
Security and restricting the impact of the dust during the demolition period needed to be a priority for all.
Tight time constraints created the need for careful programming and liaison to ensure that key dates were achieved whilst keeping Health and Safety as a crucial criteria.
