Refurbishment of Grade II listed farmhouse to create 5 bedroom property over 3 floors. The farmhouse was dilapidated requiring extensive refurbishment to the structure which included propping and masonry replacement, new roof timber and coverings, timber preservative and lime plastering etc. The 5 bedroom property has been refurbished to provide new kitchens and bathrooms, new oil central heating, new electrics, lime plastering, decoration and floor finishes.
The project was completed in 26 weeks, with consultation with the live working farm buildings and was constantly reviewed with the conservation officer. During the refurbishment the supporting walls to a gable wall was found to be dangerous which supporting one of the main chimney stacks which required excessive propping with masonry support.
