Cleethorpes Leisure Centre - Refreshed and Revitalised
What was our client looking for?
North East Lincolnshire Council required a contractor who was able to work in a ‘live’ and fully operation Leisure Centre. Minimum disruption and effective co-ordination between contractor and client was essential.
How did we help?
Using traditional and modern techniques we were required refurbish an existing Leisure Centre located on the seafront. The works comprised of a new unisex changing village with colour co-ordinated cubicles and lockers including shower rooms with specially equipped disabled wet room. Within the pool area, new ventilation, heating, ceiling tiles were installed to create a pleasant ambience. In addition a new pool flume was fitted. The exterior was finished with new cladding and roof overlay system as well as a newly refurbished entrance, reception and café bar area.
The results
The project drew on Gelder’s experience and construction diversity. The leisure centre now offers a relaxing and warm enjoyable environment for all ages. Gelder Major Contracts Division was able to provide the client with confidence in our ability to deliver the works through determination and collaboration.
