Works on this project was as Principal Contractor to NHS Trust on £6 million modular buildings comprising of 56 prefabricated units. The works included all substructure works within a live hospital with demolition of paediatricians ward and playroom, steel encased piling, reinforced concrete foundations, retaining walls and supporting slab. New surface and foul drainage with new HV electrical supplies, steam, condense and mains cold water including specialist installations such as medical gases, nurse call and patient line installations.
The new 56 units connected to the existing hospital via Hospital Street, service riser which included a new children’s playroom and internal alteration to the paediatrician’s offices. The substructure works was completed within 10 weeks to ensure the project was ready to receive the modular units.
