Works start on ?1.6 million contract of former RAF base
Gelder Group?s Design and Build Division has commenced work on a ?1.6 million, 52 week contract at Robin Hood Airport (formerly RAF Finningley). The contract includes the demolition of the former Airmen?s quarters, construction of 21 flats and 3 houses and a new adoptable road for Acis Housing Association.
Contractors (pictured) have begun the process of demolishing the existing buildings on the site, which will be completed by the end of September ready for the new build to commence in October.
