TV’s Top Gear’s Original Stig Presents Gelder Group with Award

For the second year running, Gelder Group have been awarded the Lincolnshire and Rutland “Large Employer of the Year” title for its commitment to apprenticeships.

The Awards Ceremony was hosted by Lincs FM presenter, John Marshall, with presentations being made by Henry Inman, Employer Services Director of the National Apprenticeship Service, East Midlands and Perry McCarthy, Top Gear’s original Stig.

Gelder Group has more than 20 apprentices on its books and has helped the “Entry to Employment” organisation many times over the past couple of years.  Training Manager, Mike Johnson, commented “the firm had continued to invest in training, despite the recession” adding “we believe that apprentices are the lifeline to our company’s future growth”.

Rachel May, Director of Employer Engagement at Lincoln College praised Gelder Group’s vision: “They have had the foresight to look ahead and qualify their employees to ensure that they have the appropriate skills for the future.
