Gelder Group Walking Weekend

This year?s Gelder Group walking weekend was held in the Peak District and was completed by eighteen employees and partners.

The Team (pictured) lead by Helifix Installer Andy Doran, completed a 12 mile walk, which started (and finished) at the Nags Head Pub in Edale, the official start of the Pennine Way. The walk took the group up ?Grinds Brook? a tricky scramble, part of which was a climb up a waterfall before crossing ?Kinder Scout?, a vast area of peat bogs.  Lunch was taken in a dry river bed before the Group rejoined the Pennine Way and made there way back to the Nags Head pub via ?Jacob?s Ladder at about 4.30pm.

Although some difficult terrain was encountered the scenery was fantastic and the entire Group thanked Andy Doran for his hard work in organising the event and planning the walk.  He has already been asked to organize another walk next year.
