On Thursday 17 June 2010, His Royal Highness, The Duke of Gloucester kindly launched the Gelder Group’s new website whilst visiting the companies Head Office to mark the opening of its new 15 acre Ecological Project.
The Duke took time out to press a specially prepared button that launched the site and held conversation with both the Group’s IT Manager, Richard Stringer and Web Designer, Dan Price, who explained the work that had gone into creating the new site.
The Duke was immediately drawn to the images on the homepage of completed architectural projects by the Gelder Group.
The old Gelder Group website is some 10 years old and Managing Director, Steve Gelder, commented “we decided some time back that we needed a new website that was both informative and easy to navigate. The fact that we were then put forward for a Royal Visit gave us the focus to get the site ready for today” adding “we are absolutely thrilled with the new site and the fact that the Duke agreed to carry out this duty”.
