Recycling Rates Rise to 94%
Greentech Management Services LLP, the Gelder Group?s recycling and waste management arm has announced recorded recycling figures for the 6 month period ending 30th June 2009.
The Group?s Environmental Officer, James Hill (pictured) commented that ?recycling figures peaked in February when a figure of 97% was recorded. It has dropped back since due to the mix of waste we are processing? adding that ?June was actually our worst performance for 5 months when we dropped to 92% due to a lot of waste coming in from fire damaged properties where nothing was salvageable, still an average of 94% over the period is still a fantastic achievement and 22% above the industry average.? |
Greentech Management Services began trading in 2007 and now employs five full time staff. It has begun to expand its operation to other organisations, now having nine external customers, including Jackson Building Centres and the Lincolnshire Show Ground. It currently processes over 296.5 cubic metres of waste every week.
