RSS FeedNew Works at Cambridge Court Grimsby
Work started in May on a ?1.8 million Design and Build housing project in Grimsby.
The project consists of 18 new flats for H & L Homes (Havelock & Longhurst Group)
Works will take 40 weeks to complete and comprise of timber frame with brick, cedar boarding and Trespa boarding externals.
The site is in close proximity to an existing 25 bed residential accommodation building and therefore the access and building site is extremely limited. In order to make ease of access and to minimise any disruption to local residents a mobile tower crane is being used.
The tower crane has a 36 metre reach and it benefits the project in that it allows materials to be easily transported onto the site and also around the site. This has been used for manoeuvring the beam and block flooring, timber frame, roofing works, cladding and all internal walls.
The project is due for completion February / March 2010.
