A thank you letter signed by both the Prime Minister, David Cameron MP and his coalition Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg MP for the work Gelder Group do with apprentices greeted managing director Steve Gelder on his return from the Christmas break.
On receiving the letter, Steve comments “Its great recognition. Around 10% of our staff are apprentices, our training academy is a licensed Apprentice Training Agency (ATA), plus three of the four Directors started working life as apprentices”. He also added “As a company we are great advocates of apprenticeships and I personally promote them at every opportunity but even so, I did not expect to receive such a letter from either David Cameron or Nick Clegg”.
