New Offices creating 30 new jobs
Gelder Group has secured a £1.1m contract to build a new office complex in Lincoln that is set to create 30 new jobs. As part of the Lincoln Growth Point initiative, a new building for small to medium businesses (SMEs) will be erected on the unused railway coal yard on Kesteven Street.
The building will house seven units for businesses. In addition to the building, the Sincil Dyke path will be widened between Kesteven Street and Tentercroft Street, and a cycle path added. The project will cost £1.1 million to complete and £470,000 of this has come from the European Regional Development Fund.
Councilor Eddy Poll, Executive Member for Economic Development, said: “These offices will be an ideal location for any up-and-coming business. Each unit provides a modern space, complete with a good broadband connection, a shared meeting space and parking. They also benefit from being close to the train station and its direct link to London.”
The work is programmed to finish by the end of the year.
