RSS FeedGelder Group completes clean sweep at Regional Award Finals
On Friday 28th The Gelder Group made history in winning the top prize in each of the separate award categories at the East Midlands Regional Apprenticeship Awards, held at the Pera Innovation Centre in Melton Mowbray. The Gelder Group won a total of 3 awards, the first being ‘Apprentice Champion’ which was won by Steve Gelder for using his Apprenticeship as a foundation for his future success. The second award titled ‘Apprenticeship Large Employer of the Year’ was awarded for the management and training of our Apprentices’ and thirdly the ‘The Large Employer National Training Award’ in the 250 – 5000 employer category which was given to the Gelder Group for our staff training, personal development and long term vision in to be the best in every aspect of all the training we deliver. Also included in this award was the work we do in Schools, Colleges, and at HMP Lincoln.
Steve Gelder will now face a public vote against the other 5 regional champions to be crowned the UK’s National Apprentice Ambassador.
Steve comments “By the time we won our third award it was becoming a little embarrassing. I do though believe in Apprenticeships, I was an apprentice. The first person ever employed at Gelder Group started life as an apprentice and still works here today and during our 25 years in business over 250 apprentices have been employed and trained by the Gelder Group, something that I am very proud of”.
