On Tuesday 16th October 2012 Group Training Manager Mike Johnson and Training Co-Ordinator Hayley Moss were personally invited to a VIP Royal event. This special occasion was in support of Gelder Apprentice Painter and Decorator Jai Gilford-Anable at West Notts College who was showcasing his Painting and decorating skills in front of Prince Andrew, Duke of York. The event which was also to promote Apprenticeships, along with Employer Engagement was a huge success and Prince Andrew was very impressed with the high level of Painting skills that Jai has.
Barlborough Painter & Decorator Apprentice Jai comments “I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of meeting Price Andrew, and I felt very proud to be nominated to showcase my work. The Duke asked me several questions and spent a lot of time looking at the types of specialist decorative effects I was using”
