RSS FeedGelder Training deliver 'Maths in the workplace' sessions at local primary
On Tuesday 6th November several members of Gelder Training were invited to the Ermine Primary Academy in Lincoln as part of ‘National Maths Week’ to deliver two full lessons about how maths is used in the workplace. Along with giving an overview of the Gelder Group and the construction industry a planned practical session was taught. The task was to use area and perimeter to cost the job of painting 4 walls and ceiling different colours along with working out labour costs. The children did not disappoint and fully engaged and came up with the correct answers.
Apprenticeship Development Manager Adam Ellwood who planned the sessions comments ‘It was a fantastic day and the children thoroughly enjoyed the session and were full of enthusiasm throughout the day.’
