Building for our horsey NEIGHbours

Bransby

Major Contracts have commenced work for yet another Charitable practice, this time for Bransby Home of Rest for Horses.  The scheme involves a brand new visitor centre to take in guests visiting the Horse Care Home which will offer information about their horse residents, gift shop, tea room and meeting facilities.

Bransby Home of Rest for Horses cares for 340+ horses and is one of UK’s largest equine care centres.    Not only do they care for horses but look after ponies, donkeys and mules.  Many of these animals are rescued from neglect and cruelty and are often re-homed.  Bransby is just           1 mile away from the Gelder’s H.O.

The increase in visitors and horse residents has necessitated the need of a Visitor Centre and the extra build of horse barns will mean that more horses can be cared for.  The project has just started and is valued at £1.5 million and is due to finish in March 2013.  Rob Weaver is Site Manager and Matt Hodgkins is Contracts Manager for this scheme.
