Amanda Blanc takes time out to witness Bradley Robinson's signing his apprenticeship contract

Bradley Robinson has become the first student to come through the ranks of the Gelder Virtual school and be awarded an apprenticeship.

The Gelder Virtual school only takes in children that have been expelled from main stream education and are classed as ‘disaffected’.  The thought process behind this is that the positive environment at Gelder Groups Lincoln Head Office will see them change their attitude to education and the results have been quite amazing.  Bradley has been taught in the Gelder virtual school since the summer of 2012.  He has come on leaps and bounds and has been rewarded with an apprenticeship within the Groups garage.

Axa UK & Ireland CEO Amanda Blanc visited the Gelder Groups Lincoln complex in October 2012.  During her visit the pupils in the virtual school drew her portrait which now sits on the desk of her London office.  On Wednesday 27th February Amanda invited the children to see the portrait at which time Bradley was told that he had earned an apprenticeship with the company and his contract was witnessed by Amanda.
