RSS FeedGelder Group Charity Bike Ride
As part of the Gelder Groups 25th Year in business Anniversary and their yearlong charity fundraising campaign, eighteen cyclists undertook a gruelling 40 mile bike ride from Barlborough to Sturton By Stow on Sunday 5TH May, the weather was perfect for the event which was completed in 3 hours and 37 minutes.
On return to the head office at Sturton by Stow a Barbecue was provided for riders, family and friends.
Hannah Laidler who works in the Head Office accounts department and organised the event stated:
“Everybody involved in the ride really enjoyed themselves, it was fantastic route thanks to company finance director Russell Cunliffe, and so far we have raised £1950.80 for our two chosen charities The Alzheimer’s Society and St Barnabas Hospice, I would like to thank all our sponsors for their generous donations, and a big thank you to those who helped out on the day, at the BBQ and those who marshalled, you were all very much appreciated!”
