Gelder Virtual School Helps Road Safety Campaign

2fast2soonLincolnshire Road Safety Partnership, an organisation passionately committed to saving lives on Lincolnshire’s roads, showcased a theatrical spectacular drama named – ‘2fast2soon’.

In June 2013 word came through from Graham King the producer that The Road Safety Partnership wanted to work with our Virtual School students because they had heard about their creative potential. So for several weeks our pupils acted out the lines and added their ideas, and characters to the dramatic production which is based on a true story about a young lady called Kirsty, who was a passenger killed in a car crash near Mablethorpe.

The Director was so impressed with the work done and the involvement of Daniella Taylor our Teaching Assistant at the school, that he casted her into the production to play the main part of Kirsty, which was then rehearsed from July to September.

Commenting Mike Johnson our Group Training Manager said “this was a great opportunity for the Virtual School pupils to be involved. I would recommend this production to anyone, but it will be especially important for the teenage audiences across Lincolnshire.  I believe that it will help to save lives on our roads.  Well done to everyone at the Virtual School”.
