Speech at Plaisterers Guild Annual Banquet catches the attention of the Mayors office
Fulfilling his role of UK City & Guilds Apprentice Ambassador Managing Director Steve Gelder MBE recently delivered a speech to 278 guests at the Plaisterers Guild Annual banquet.
The diner was attended by many of the cities dignitaries and business leaders, the speech was well received with the Major’s office making contact the following day, Steve is speaking again at City hall Wednesday, 23rd October.
On the evening Steve Comments “It was a bit of a tricky start to my after dinner speech speaking career as I’d prepared a speech that I thought a plasterer would enjoy only to be confronted by directors of hedge funds and city types at their fabulous, 1 London Bank headquarters. The Guild dates back over 500 years and has few plasterers members but I recovered well and am looking forward to attending future city dinners”
Steve is currently the UK City & Guilds Apprentice Ambassador and 2013 Prince Philip Medal recipient and speaks passionately about the importance of training and apprentice in both the construction sector and the wider economy.
