Freeman Street Market – Opens for Business

The end of January sees the Business & Digital Hub open its doors for the second time, the first being over 141 years ago.  Austin Mitchell (MP Grimsby) and Martin Vickers (MP Cleethorpes) reopened the £1.3 million state of the art after the 1000sq ft. radical transformation.

The Major Contracts Division began work in June 2013 completing a six year redevelopment of Freeman Street Market that has been undertaken by the Enrolled Freeman of Grimsby and its Subsidiary the Pastures Development Company.

All of the upper rooms, and the ground floor seminar room, enjoy natural light and fresh air circulation is provided by way of a unique Monodraught system. In addition, each room has individually controlled heating and ventilation and I.T server boxes with private Wi-Fi, as well as hard wired, Code 6, I.T networks.

The project is targeting micro and small businesses and community enterprises that are starting up or growing in the East Marsh area of Grimsby.
