Cleethorpes Leisure Centre - Refreshed and Revitalised
Swimmers at Cleethorpes Leisure Centre can now look forward to a much more relaxing swim at the newly refurbished poolside.
The Major Contracts Division began work in September 2013 completing the first part of a multiphase multimillion pound upgrade. The main features include the installation of heating and lighting system, new pool flume, changing village with colour co-ordinated cubicles, lockers and shower rooms with specially equipped disabled wet room and major upgrade to the complex plant room. The works have completely transformed the once tired and cold centre to a warm, modern with a nostalgic feel which hosts the statue of a life sized model of a 1930’s bathing beauty.
The complex has now been laced with glorious memoribilia from its original opening in 1925. The site was demolished in 1978 due to severe storm damage, but is now home to the Sea View 33 metre wave pool.
