Work begins on Skegness Academy
Work on the new Beacon Primary Academy in Skegness, providing quality education for children aged from 4 to 11, has begun starting a 11 month construction.
On Wednesday, 26 February, Councillor Mrs Patricia Bradwell, Executive Councillor for Children's Services, and Emma Hadley, Executive Principal at the Greenwood Dale Foundation Trust (GDFT) and the Gelder Major Contracts Team cut the turf where the new accommodation for the Beacon Primary Academy in Skegness is to be built.
The academy will open in November 2014 and will initially accommodate up to 30 pupils in reception and 30 pupils in Year 1. It is planned that the academy will grow in a controlled manner to its full capacity over the following academic years. The academy h will have seven classrooms, along with hall facilities, office accommodation, external play areas and car parking.
