Kettering Office Happy to Help Out with Schools Initiative

Gelder Group at Kettering recently participated in a school initiative, aimed at two schools that teach children with special educational needs.

Wrenn Spinney School held a ‘Have a Go’ day, to provide pupils with the opportunity to learn a particular trade.  Charlie Jones - a decorator based at the Kettering office went along to assist the children; he set up a wall to paint and then all the children “had a go”.  Charlie commented after that “he found it extremely worthwhile and rewarding and left with huge admiration for the headteacher” who said Charlie was a magnificent hit with the children.

The second visit was to Isebrook School, where Bill Gilsenan and other representatives from the local business community conducted mock interviews with the Year 11 students to give them an insight into being best prepared when going into the commercial world.

Bill commented that “he was impressed with all the students and the probing questions they asked during the interviews”.
