1st harvest of honey from on Site Bee Hive
After receiving our 1st hive of 30,000 European Dark Bees from the Lincolnshire Beekeepers Association in May the industrious bees have already created 9 full frames of honey. The honey is now being harvested and will be ready for sale later this month, with all proceeds going to charity. On the collection of honey Environmental Officer Simon Blaydes commented “ I couldn’t believe how much each frame weighed, 2 lb a frame. Jason (Bee Keeper form Lincolnshire Beekeepers Association) let me try the honey; needless to say, without question it was the best Honey I have ever tasted”.
More details of when the jars will be ready will follow.
