What a Whopper! Charity Fishing Match Nets £236 for Charity
The misty start to the morning did nothing to dampen the spirits of the 13 fishers who entered the ‘What a Whopper! Charity fishing competition held at Gelder Group’s Head office lake on 27th September in aid of The Brain Tumour Charity.
The one acre lake is stocked with a variety of fish including Roach, Rudd, Ade, Mirror Carp and Ghost Carp. The largest haul on the day was caught by Simon Blaydes with a total catch of 9lb 14oz.
On the day Simon commented “I was of course thrilled to win on the day but the real winner is the Charity we were raising money for, The Brain Tumour Charity”.
