Gelder Group in the Community
After completing the latest edition to the facilities at Witham St Hughes school, Gelder Group were asked to give a presentation to Year 1 and 2 children aged between 5 and 7 years old. Simon Hinton, Maintenance Manager and Ashley Kent, Trainee Quantity Surveyor took time off from Major Contracts work to inspire the next generation of builders, architects and surveyors by explaining the basic of building a property from an ‘Igloo’ to a ‘Palace’ finishing with a practical lesson on how to mix concrete. Hannah Brackenbury, Head of Year Two commented “The children thoroughly enjoyed the sessions and learnt a lot”.
